Traci Bookbinder was our lead technician and an essential member of our SAH team from 1997 to her sudden passing in September 2023, after experiencing a medical emergency while on vacation with her husband. During Traci’s 26 year tenure she mentored countless people in the veterinary field, passing on her excellent skills and taking pride in watching her “students” grow and succeed. Traci held many interests outside the veterinary field bur her greatest passion was for cats, at one time owning eight of her own. With her many connections and her unrelenting passion, she was able to rehome hundreds of cats thought to be unadoptable, who would have otherwise perished. It brought Traci great joy to see another happy cat bring joy into a new forever home. Her loss to our hospital family is profound and she will be forever remembered, loved and greatly missed.
