Stephen

Stephen first came to Saugus Animal Hospital as a client. After a long and varied career, Stephen decided to pursue a life-long dream and was hired in an entry level position. Through self study and on the job training Stephen has become a valuable team member. Stephen takes great pride in treating each patient as if it were his own pet. When he is not working he is caring for his "home zoo", which consists of 2 pugs, 2 tortoises, a hamster and a rat.
Amy with Jenny

When Amy joined our team in 2005, she had been working at an animal shelter as an adoption counselor for two years, and was looking to do more "hands-on" work with animals. She has worked in a dog training facility where she gained knowledge of basic canine behavior. Although she is a dog person at heart, her specialty at the hospital is handling our reptile patients and educating clients about their care. In 2006 Amy passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and is gradually completing the college courses needed to earn her certifiction. In her personal life Amy is an accomplished martial artist with over twenty years of training. She competes in tournaments around New England and has her 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. In her spare time, Amy practices Hot Core and Power Yoga, spends time with family and friends, and cares for her six beloved pets: Jenny, a terrier mix she rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico, Henrietta, a "differently-abled" cat, two green iguanas named Chloe & Stevie, a water dragon named Buttercup, and a bearded dragon named Logan.
Ashley with Josie
Ashley joined our staff as a technician in July 2008 after working at another local veterinary hospital. She brightens the hospital with her infectious enthusiasm for our patients and can often be seen cuddling any patient that may need that extra hug. Ashley enjoys spending time with her friends and shares her home with her significant other Frank as well as her Pomeranian Josie (seen above), and a rabbit named Mika.
Gordon with Biff and Geronimo
Gordon is originally from southern Maine. He graduated from Gordon College in 2006 with a degree in music, but has always had a heart for animals and an interest in the Veterinary field. He became a veterinary technician in 2007 and joined the Saugus Animal Hospital team in 2009. When not at the hospital, Gordon spends his time playing team sports, singing in a North Shore based choral ensemble, training with the Massachusetts Army National Guard, competing in relay distance races with his 2 brothers and enjoying time spent with family, friends and 2 kittens (Biff and Geronimo). When Gordon "grows up", he aspires to attend (and graduate from) veterinary school.
