Dr. Robert Binder, DVM

      
Dr. Binder graduated from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1979 and has owned Saugus Animal Hospital since 1987.   He and his wife Marcia have two daughters,  one dog (a golden retriever), two cats, and a tortoise.    In his spare time, Dr. Binder likes to go downhill skiing.
 


Dr Kel Bergsten, DVM

 

 

Dr. Bergsten has been a veterinarian at Saugus Animal Hospital since 1985 after graduating from Purdue University School Of Veterinary Medicine.  She shares her home with her husband and three daughters as well as Wilbur a boisterous Golden Retriever and a stubborn french bulldog Mallory. Four cats, Simon, Rosie, Pippin and Al round out the mix.  In her spare time she enjoys reading and knitting for her family and friends.



Dr Karin Anderson, DVM


Dr. Anderson joined the Saugus Animal Hospital team after graduating from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.  In January, 2007, Dr. Anderson began her own house-call practice with a special interest in senior pets.  She is available for appointments at the hospital on a regular basis.  When appropriate, her patients will be admitted at Saugus Animal Hospital.  Please feel free to contact Dr. Anderson at 781-710-4090 for a house call visit or call the hospital if you would like to make an appointment to see her in the hospital.

 

 

Dr. Emily Howe, VMD 

 

Originally from Milton, MA, Dr. Howe completed her undergraduate work at Bowdoin College before attending the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School. She followed vet school with a one year internship at VCA West L.A. Animal Hospital, where she developed an interest in critical care medicine and soft tissue surgery. After her internship, Dr. Howe worked for a year as a primarily emergency veterinarian at VCA Roberts Animal Hospital in Hanover, MA.  Dr. Howe recently joined the team at Saugus Animal Hospital in August of 2011.

 

Dr. Howe enjoys traveling, sports, and art and has a particular interest in international veterinary medicine and community service. She has volunteered in Mexico, Guatemala and Botswana and looks forward to continued veterinary community service abroad throughout her career.
